Softball Recap: Lancaster Catholic Crusaders vs. Octorara Area Braves

Lancaster Catholic entered their match against Octorara Area on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Crusaders fell just short of the Braves by a score of 7-6. Kailee Detz put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
