Volleyball Recap: Spooner Takes a Loss

Spooner and Barron squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Spooner had to settle for second. They came up short against the Golden Bears, falling 3-0. The Rails haven't had much luck with the Golden Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11, 25-10.

Barron was led to victory by Abby Miller and Xendra Jilek. Miller had 11 digs and two aces, while Jilek had six digs and two aces. What's more, Miller racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Spooner's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Barron, their win bumped their record up to 30-6.

Spooner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barron, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Northwestern on the 25th.
