Baseball Game Preview: Murdock Blue Devils vs. Narragansett Regional Warriors

The Murdock Blue Devils will face off against the Narragansett Regional Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Murdock's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bromfield hit Murdock with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils lost 12-2 to the Trojans.

Murdock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Hanley, who went 1-for-2 with one run. That hit marked the first that Hanley has got this season.

Meanwhile, Narragansett Regional hadn't done well against Tahanto Regional recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Warriors came out on top against the Stags by a score of 5-2.

Preston Denio-O'Connor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tyler Clark was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Ferragamo, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Murdock's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Narragansett Regional, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
