Solomon and Bennington are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. The Gorillas will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Solomon came up short against Goessel and fell 2-0. The Gorillas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-2.

Meanwhile, Bennington was able to grind out a solid victory over Trinity on Tuesday, taking the game 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Celtics: they've now won eight in a row.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bennington was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-7.

Solomon now has a losing record of 9-10-2. As for Bennington, their victory bumped their record up to 23-6.

Solomon couldn't quite get it done against Bennington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Gorillas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
