Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Judson Rockets a 16-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won five in a row.

Canyon's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 8-11. As for Judson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
