Basketball Recap: Music Mountain Comes Up Short

Music Mountain saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 58-44 bruising from the San Pasqual Valley Warriors.

San Pasqual Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyla Emerson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. The matchup was Emerson's third in a row with at least ten points. Daeja Villicana was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Music Mountain has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for San Pasqual Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Music Mountain will face off against Ash Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ash Fork's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Music Mountain's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for San Pasqual Valley, they will challenge Antelope at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. San Pasqual Valley is facing Antelope at the right time seeing as Antelope is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
