While Eastern Guilford put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Dudley. The Wildcats blew past the Panthers 16-0. Considering the Wildcats have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kamryn Permar made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Eastern Guilford got a massive performance out of Krista Gunnell, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Gunnell has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Moore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Eastern Guilford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dudley only posted an OBP of .000.

Eastern Guilford pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Dudley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Eastern Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dudley, they will take on Southern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
