Baseball Recap: Cumberland Gap Takes a Loss

Cumberland Gap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clinton Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Cumberland Gap saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zayden Michael, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Cumberland Gap's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Clinton, their win bumped their record up to 9-16.

While Cumberland Gap had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
