Soccer Recap: Potomac Senior Comes Up Short

Potomac Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Charles J. Colgan Sharks. While losing is never fun, Potomac Senior can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Charles J. Colgan are ranked 39th).

Potomac Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Charles J. Colgan, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Potomac Senior wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Forest Park on the 13th. As for Charles J. Colgan, they will host Hylton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Charles J. Colgan will be up against Hylton's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.25 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
