Baseball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Gilbert Classical Academy's offense. They came up short against the Lincoln Prep Lightning on Tuesday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gilbert Classical Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season. As for Lincoln Prep, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, Gilbert Classical Academy will head out on the road to challenge San Carlos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Lincoln Prep, they will welcome Superior at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
