West Columbus can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Pender Patriots. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

West Columbus saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Matheson, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

West Columbus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pender only posted an OBP of .323.

West Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Pender, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

West Columbus will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
