Cypress Falls won against Jersey Village last Friday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Cypress Falls Eagles had just enough and edged the Fort Bend Elkins Knights out 45-42. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jacari Irvin and Chase Gray certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Irvin posted 15 points and five rebounds, while Gray earned seven points. Those 15 points gave Irvin a new career-high.

Cypress Falls has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Cypress Falls and Fort Bend Elkins should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Cypress Falls (ranked 140th) will meet Stratford (ranked 393rd) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Fort Bend Elkins (ranked 295th) will meet Fort Bend Dulles (ranked 853rd) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
