Soccer Recap: Bloomington Finishes Even with Fontana

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Bloomington was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. Neither they nor the Fontana Steelers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The Bruins had to tread lightly for part of the match as Junior Pineda and Chrysler Castelo were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Bloomington's goal came courtesy of Jeremiah Romero, who's now up to six this season.

Bloomington's draw gives them a new season record of 4-4-2. Meanwhile, Fontana's record is now 12-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomington will square off against Carter at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Fontana, they will face off against Grand Terrace at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Grand Terrace's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
