Volleyball Game Preview: Whitfield Warriors vs. St. Dominic Crusaders

Whitfield is 0-4 against St. Dominic since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Whitfield came up short against Lutheran South and fell 3-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Dominic faced Howell North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Crusaders came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Crusaders have suffered since April 4th.

While St. Dominic was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 25-22.

St. Dominic's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Whitfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-5.
