Stratford hasn't had much luck against Fort Dorchester recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Stratford Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Fort Dorchester Patriots at 7:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Stratford ended up a good deal behind Daniel and lost 52-36. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Lions are ranked ninth).

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kerwin Squire Jr., who rushed for 241 yards while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 148 rushing yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jachin Davis, who threw for 210 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Fort Dorchester's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 21-20 victory over Goose Creek. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Ryan Campbell had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 64 receiving yards.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fort Dorchester, their record is now 2-0.
