Springer took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Roy/Mosquero, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils won by a set and slipped past the Blue/Lady Blue 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since August 21st.

Springer was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Springer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Roy/Mosquero, their defeat ended a 13-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Springer is set to take on their familiar foe Maxwell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roy/Mosquero will square off against rival Wagon Mound at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
