Springer took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Roy/Mosquero, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils had just enough and edged out the Blue/Lady Blue 3-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted since August 21st.

Springer wouldn't go down easily and took Roy/Mosquero into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Brenna Duran paced Springer's offense, picking up 35 kills. Duran got some help from Abigail Eppler and her 63 assists. Eppler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Springer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Roy/Mosquero, their defeat ended a 13-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4.

Springer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Maxwell on the 21st. As for Roy/Mosquero, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Wagon Mound on the 20th.
