Basketball Recap: Springboro Comes Up Short

If Springboro was riding high fresh off their 55-32 takedown of Little Miami on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springfield Wildcats on Friday. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Wildcats since Friday.

Springboro's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Springfield, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Springboro is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Springfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-59 win against Purcell Marian on the 6th.
