Basketball Recap: Wooster Comes Up Short

Wooster lost against South Tahoe back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wooster Colts received a blow as they fell 64-47 to the South Tahoe Vikings. The Colts were down 58-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Campbell Mathews continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Tahoe, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 20 boards. The dominant performance gave Mathews a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Cox, who posted eight points.

This is the second loss in a row for Wooster and nudges their season record down to 3-13. As for South Tahoe, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will face off against Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Tahoe, they will challenge Fernley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
