Recap: KIPP King Lions vs. Latitude Lynx
The KIPP King Lions had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 93-41 win over Latitude at home. KIPP King has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 27 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead KIPP King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion Taylor, who scored 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Taylor hasn't dropped below 20 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Daniel Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.
The victory (which was KIPP King's ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Latitude, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.
KIPP King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-56 victory vs. Bay Tech on the 12th. Latitude does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
