Basketball Game Preview: Kalkaska Blazers vs. Harbor Springs Rams

The Kalkaska Blazers will take on the Harbor Springs Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Kalkaska ended up a good deal behind Grayling and lost 68-50. The defeat continues a trend for the Blazers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Harbor Springs came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Stags 78-36. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 27 points or more this season.

Harbor Springs pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Kalkaska, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-7.

Kalkaska came up short against Harbor Springs in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 62-49. Can Kalkaska avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
