Baseball Recap: Schurr Comes Up Short

Schurr's last matchup with Monrovia could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Schurr Spartans lost 14-3 to the Monrovia Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since April 10, 2024.

Ivan Qunitero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Joseph Hernandez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Schurr now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Monrovia, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Schurr and Monrovia will both be playing Village Christian the next time they take the field. Monrovia will head out to face Village Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, while Schurr will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
