Football Game Preview: Lee Generals vs. Hazel Green Trojans

The Lee Generals will face off against the Hazel Green Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lee hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

On Friday, Lee had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of Gadsden City. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Titans are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hazel Green's offense. They took a blow against Athens last Friday, falling 28-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hazel Green, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Lee lost to Hazel Green at home by a decisive 30-14 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Trojans' Cam Moore, who rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry.
