Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hoxie). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 73-46 victory over the Decatur Community Red Devils. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Decatur Community still got an impressive performance from Tyler Ostmeyer, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Ostmeyer has posted since back in February of 2024. Gage Williby was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Hoxie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Decatur Community, they dropped their record down to 5-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hoxie will take on Ellis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Decatur Community, they will take on Wallace County in a tournament on Tuesday.
