Kaiser extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 16-9 in the process. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bloomington Bruins a 4-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 back in April.

Zeke Isaak Cortez was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Kaiser is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9 otherwise. Cortez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tino Isaiah Cuellar, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Issac Estrada, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

As for Bloomington, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-17. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly four runs.

On Bloomington's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Velazquez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Kaiser will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bruins: the pair will be back at it again later today.
