Soccer Recap: Cherokee's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cherokee won the last time they faced Southeast Whitfield County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Raiders a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that Cherokee have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Victoria Paciolla, who's now up to four this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Cherokee, bringing their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Southeast Whitfield County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Looking ahead, Cherokee will challenge Woodstock at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Cherokee will be up against Woodstock's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.4 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they have already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Starr's Mill on the 12th.
