 The Wilcox Central Jaguars came tearing into  Tuesday's  matchup with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Booker T. Washington Magnet by a score of  71-58. Given Wilcox Central's advantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings  (they are ranked 130th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 457th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Wilcox Central was led to victory by  Tyshawn Bowers and  Joshua Blue.  Bowers  scored 12 points along with two  blocks, while  Blue  scored 17 points along with seven  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Blue has scored all season.  Javion Pettway was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with five  rebounds.
 Wilcox Central is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilcox Central will take on the Bears at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Keith knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 contests -- so hopefully the Jaguars likes a good challenge. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
