Softball Recap: Reedsburg Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Reedsburg hadn't done well against Waunakee recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Beavers skirted past the Warriors 1-0. For the Beavers, this counts as revenge for the 11-4 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

The result came thanks to Cheyenne Raupp's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

On the hitting side, Kylee Molitor was excellent, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games she's played.

Reedsburg's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Waunakee, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Reedsburg will venture away from home to take on Cambria-Friesland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waunakee, they will head out to square off against Fort Atkinson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
