Football Game Preview: Central Valley Bears vs. Shadle Park Highlanders + How To Watch

The Central Valley Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Shadle Park Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Central Valley and six for Shadle Park.

Central Valley's last matchup with Gonzaga Prep could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Bears had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of the Bullpups. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Bullpups are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Shadle Park's offense. They were dealt a 31-0 loss at the hands of Lewis & Clark on Friday.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shadle Park, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-6.

Central Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Shadle Park when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 35-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
