Point Pleasant has gone 8-2 against Nitro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Big Blacks will welcome the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Nitro will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Point Pleasant extended their winning streak to five on Friday. The Big Blacks put the hurt on Wellston with a sharp 11-1 win. The Big Blacks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Chloe Patrick and Josie Shobe did most of the damage at the plate: Patrick fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3, while Shobe went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most home runs Patrick has posted since back in March of 2025. Bralee Roush was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Point Pleasant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nitro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over Clay County on Thursday.

Point Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Nitro, their win bumped their record up to 7-19.

Everything went Point Pleasant's way against Nitro in their previous meeting back in April, as Point Pleasant made off with a 12-2 victory. Will the Big Blacks repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
