Recap: Northeastern Eagles vs. Jordan Falcons

If the Northeastern Eagles were feeling good off their 69-21 takedown of the Camden County Bruins last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northeastern fell just short of Jordan by a score of 46-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Northeastern has suffered yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Northeastern lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Jasmine Felton. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 70.5% of Northeastern's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Sanai Alexander, who scored four points.
Northeastern has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Jordan, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Manteo at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Manteo is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Jordan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Chapel Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully East Chapel Hill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Friday.
