Volleyball Recap: Mesa Vista Takes a Loss

Mesa Vista entered their matchup against Mora on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Rangers/Rangerettes. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rangers/Rangerettes from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Mesa Vista was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-23, 25-15.

Mesa Vista's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Mora, their win ended an eight-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mesa Vista will square off against rival McCurdy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mora is set to challenge their familiar foe Penasco at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
