Softball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale suffered their closest defeat since March 13th on Saturday. They fell just short of the Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers by a score of 5-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lashaundra Fleming, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Riverdale will head out to take on Oakland at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will take on Huntland in a tournament on Saturday.
