Mayfield entered their tilt with Manzano on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Monarchs 9-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Saturday.

Mayfield's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Manzano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mayfield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rose of Sharon at 2:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Manzano, they will head out to challenge Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
