Football Recap: Fieldston Takes a Loss

After flying high against Newark Academy last Thursday, Fieldston came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Montclair Kimberley Academy Cougars by a score of 10-7 on Saturday. The Eagles lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 42-15 score last time.

Maxwell Thompson threw for 56 yards on eight of 17 attempts. Timin Jain was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

Fieldston's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Fieldston will be playing in front of their home fans against Hackley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Montclair Kimberley Academy, they will head out to square off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
