Preview: Avon Panthers vs. Diman RVT Bengals
The Avon Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Diman RVT Bengals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Avon is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Avon had to suffer through a rough 58-22 loss at the hands of Westport. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Avon has scored all season.
Avon's loss came about despite a quality game from Hanelie Cadet, who scored 19 points. That was a full 86.4% of Avon's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Diman RVT's game two weeks ago was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Avon by a score of 53-45. The victory was just what Diman RVT needed coming off of a 54-28 defeat in their prior game.
Avon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Diman RVT, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Avon came up short against Diman RVT when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 53-45. Can Avon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
