Basketball Recap: Kwigillingok Takes a Loss

Kwigillingok was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chief Paul Memorial Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 52-49 loss two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why Kwigillingok lost, don't look at Caiden Nichols. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. The game was Nichols' fourth in a row with at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Lewis, who put up seven points.

Kwigillingok's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Chief Paul Memorial, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

While Kwigillingok had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
