Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mechanicsville). They claimed a resounding 65-22 victory over the Colonial Heights Colonials. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Mechanicsville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madeline Frantz, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 16 points. Frantz is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carys Khan, who posted nine points and seven steals.

Mechanicsville was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Mechanicsville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 11.25 assists in those games compared to only 11.25 in the others. As for Colonial Heights, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mechanicsville and Spotsylvania will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. Mechanicsville is facing Spotsylvania at the right time seeing as Spotsylvania is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Colonial Heights, they will host Dinwiddie at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
