Football Recap: Morse Comes Up Short on the Road Against Sweetwater + How To Watch

Morse had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Sweetwater Red Devils, falling 31-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Nikolaos Banks threw for 52 yards on four of ten attempts. Superior Garror was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards.

Sweetwater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abdulkhadir Osman, who picked up 152 receiving yards and one TD. Osman was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 62 yards. Christian Corpus also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Looking ahead, Morse will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Orange Glen at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sweetwater, they are taking a road trip to challenge Rancho Buena Vista at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th.
