Football Recap: Kapolei Skates Past Lahainaluna with Ease

Kapolei faced Lahainaluna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hurricanes simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lunas 52-0. That's more bragging rights for the Hurricanes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kapolei has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 21 points this season. As for Lahainaluna, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kapolei will challenge Los Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lahainaluna, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on King Kekaulike at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
