Volleyball Recap: Webber Comes Up Short

Webber was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Patoka Warriors. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Webber actually scored more points across those three sets (69-66), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-22, 25-22.

Edyn Knight paced Webber's offense, picking up 16 kills. Knight got some help from Kadi Bain and her 17 assists. Finally, Knight was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Webber now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Patoka, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Webber has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Woodlawn on the 17th. Patoka has also already played their next match (against Grayville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
