Baseball Recap: Bridgewater-Raritan Comes Up Short

Bridgewater-Raritan managed to slip by Watchung Hills Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 12-6 to the Warriors on Saturday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

The defeat snapped Bridgewater-Raritan's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-11 record. As for Watchung Hills Regional, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridgewater-Raritan will head out to take on St. Joseph at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Watchung Hills Regional, they will venture away from home to challenge North Hunterdon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
