Football Recap: Turlock Skates Past Modesto with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Turlock). They breezed past the Modesto Panthers to the tune of 60-0 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Turlock's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Mia Valencia with three sacks. CJ Vincent got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got Turlock back to even at 4-4. As for Modesto, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Turlock will challenge Downey at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Modesto, they will take on Buhach Colony at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunder's defense has only allowed 4.2 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
