Softball Recap: Dupo Tigers vs. Gillespie Miners

Dupo had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-7 to make it five. They came up short against the Gillespie Miners, falling 19-5. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 20-4 to the Miners when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kylie Kloess was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Adrienne Latimer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As for Gillespie, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by seven runs or more this season.
