Baseball Recap: Marshall Lions vs. North Central Thunderbirds

Marshall entered their tilt with North Central with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the North Central Thunderbirds on Thursday as they made off with a 9-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Marshall also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

RJ Mattas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Mattas was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
