Softball Game Preview: Memorial Roughriders vs. Ottawa-Glandorf Titans

The Memorial Roughriders will venture away from home to square off against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorial will be strutting in after a victory while Ottawa-Glandorf will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Memorial beat St. Henry 7-3.

Meanwhile, Ottawa-Glandorf came up short against Elida on Tuesday, falling 20-2. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ottawa-Glandorf saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caily Bockrath, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ottawa-Glandorf, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Memorial took their victory against Ottawa-Glandorf in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roughriders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
