If West Jordan beats Hunter with ten runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Jaguars didn't even let Cyprus on the board on Tuesday, marking the Jaguars' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Rita Tavita made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arianna Fjeldsted, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lafiana Fifita, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
West Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .519. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cyprus only posted an OBP of .238.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hunter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Granger 7-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
KINSLEY LAWRENCE spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, LOIANA IONGI was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. KENYA LAPUAHO was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
West Jordan pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hunter, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Hunter's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Jordan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Hunter, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given West Jordan's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolverines will need to find a way to close that gap.
