The Riverdale Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Sherrard Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Gaege Heinsen and Landen Peterson made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Heinsen didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Peterson tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heinsen has become a key player for Riverdale: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 3-5 otherwise. At bat, Heinsen scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Peterson scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Heinsen also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Harrison Curry, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Richard Shannon, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sherrard has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Riverdale, their record now sits at 5-6.
