Stony Brook is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Winchendon. The Bears put the hurt on the Wapiti with a sharp 8-0 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for Stony Brook, bringing their record up to 14-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Winchendon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Stony Brook will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Seton Hall Prep at 12:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Winchendon, they have already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against St. Mark's on the 18th.
