Fordyce extends home winning streak to six

The Fordyce Redbugs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Junction City by the margin of a single free throw, 77-76. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

When it comes to explaining why Junction City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pechone Larry. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larry has scored all season. Montra Hankton was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds.

Fordyce's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Junction City, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Fordyce does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Junction City, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-19 win vs. Gurdon on the 9th.
