Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Makayla Johnson stepped things up a notch to give Vardaman the 'W'. Johnson scored two runs while going 1-for-2. The performance marked the most runs she has had since back in April of 2024.

Johnson and Vardaman will challenge Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Johnson had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in April of 2024 12-2.
